Retirement.  It means different things to different people.

What does it mean to you? What is your story?

Retirement is for a long time and a lot of money . . . .

It’s great that you are here. Because times change.  “Things change”.  We change.

Spending many years (even 2 or 3 decades) in this period of life means we need to understand what the important issues are, and how best to manage them. Particularly:
  • When to go on Social Security. How to actually figure the best time, and how to account for the tax consequences that may not be obvious
  • Likewise, when to go on Medicare (for most people, anyway). How that decision may be more complicated with a younger spouse
  • How to confidently decide between a Medicare Supplement plan and a Medicare Advantage plan
  • Retirement plan dollars (IRA, 401(k), etc.). Protect them. Grow them.  Reduce the income tax you pay on them. Determine the most efficient order in which to take them (yes, it can make a large difference). Determine the most beneficial ways to leave any retirement plan balance to those you care about
  • Long Term Care. Not usually a favorite subject, but one of the most expensive–and important. How to utilize a tax-favored approach, rather than simply writing checks.

Regardless of where you are at the moment, it is likely that understanding and good planning will pay you dividends year after year after year.

Of course, any good journey benefits from a good beginning.

We would love to be that good–new–beginning. Send us a message, or give us a call. We promise to listen to you and give you excellent options!
